Skate Treadmill
NOT GETTING ENOUGH ICE TIME?
THEN YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT NSD’S ACCELERATION SKATE TREADMILL: THE BEST SPORT SPECIFIC PIECE OF EQUIPMENT FOR ICE HOCKEY IN THE WORLD!
What is the Acceleration Skate Treadmill?
The NSD Acceleration Skate Treadmill is similar to a running treadmill in design, but it is wider and the surface is made up of plastic slats, which allows the athlete to use their own skates while on the machine. The Acceleration skate treadmill is capable of reaching 20 miles per hour and an incline of 25 degrees.
Why is the Skate Treadmill Valuable?
- Skating technique is the single greatest factor that affects a player's speed, endurance and effectiveness on the ice. Hockey players from youth to professional levels are improving their speed, conditioning and skating mechanics on our treadmill.
- Ice time is becoming more and more limited for young hockey players. Players are not getting the necessary ice time to excel their speed, endurance and effectiveness on the ice.
- IMPROVED SKATING BIOMECHANICS - Increased stride length , and training of proper striding technique through muscle memory.
- POWER - improved stride and strength translates into an increased ability to accelerate rapidly.
- OVERALL SKATING CONDITIONING - by monitoring rest intervals the instructor can control aerobic and anaerobic training zones for each athlete.
- ONE ON ONE TRAINING - each session is a one on one power skating lesson with an expert on stride analysis and skating instruction.
- PUCK HANDLING WHILE SKATING - the athlete is forced to practice heads up puck handling while skating at full speed.
Take Advantage of NSD’s Acceleration Skate Treadmill today!
The skate treadmill can help players with stride correction, stride efficiency and effectiveness, speed and power, in order to take their on ice performance to the next level. We will also be offering a new advanced puck handling and shooting program on the skate treadmill. While skating on the skate treadmill, players can stick handle and practice figure-eights with the puck. This program has proven that practicing full speed skating and "heads-up" puck handling together are an excellent way to dramatically improve a player's hockey skills.
