Former NHLer, Jason Wiemer is named Director of Player Development at NSD

On April 1st 2008, Former NHLer Jason Wiemer signed on to be the Director of Player Development at National Sports Development in Calgary. Jason Wiemer, is originally from Kimberly B.C. and was drafted 8th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Wiemer had an illustrious 12 year career, playing with the Lightning, the Calgary Flames, the New York Islanders, the Florida Panthers, and the Minnesota Wild before finishing his career with the New Jersey Devils in 2006. Jason is known in the league for always being a team player and leader, both on and off the ice.

NSD is privileged and excited to add Jason's expertise to their on-ice and HPT programs, and they know that Jason's hockey proficiency will assist all NSD athletes in progressing to their next level of Hockey Development.
