CANADA'S LUEDERS, BISSETT CAPTURE WC BOBSLEIGH GOLD
Pierre Lueders piloted Canada 2 to the top of the podium on Saturday.
Lueders and brakeman David Bissett captured gold at a two-man bobsleigh World Cup event in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
The pair posted a combined time of two minutes and 12.08 seconds over their two runs.
"It was another good day but it was a little tighter race than Thursday," Lueders told The Canadian Press. "I like this track because it is so different each year with the natural ice. It isn't my favourite track but I have done well here."
It was Lueders' 27 World Cup victory of his career and his 200th race.
Andre Lange and Martin Putze took silver in Germany 1, while Switzerland 1's team of Beat Hefti and Thomas Lamparter captured bronze.
The Canada 1 team of Lyndon Rush and Lascelles Brown were 18th.
Lueders and Bissett have had a successful few days in Switzerland by winning their first two races of the World Cup season. They also took gold in Thursday's event.
