2012 NSD Spring Hockey

NSD Hockey’s primary goal is to offer a comprehensive tiered development program, based upon each players current specific skill sets. By doing this, NSD is able to develop all players, as well as, assist each player individually in achieving their highest level of play.

The NSD Spring Hockey Program is designed to give Elite, Premiere, Academy and Mighty Mite players an age-specific program that is properly balanced within their respective spring season. Each program is comprised of a varying degree of skill development, systems and tactics, off-ice conditioning (Speed, Agility, Quickness, Boxing, Sport Conditioning, etc.), as well as, game/tournament play. All teams are developed and trained through exposure to NSD coaching principles, concepts and strategies. Each program is guaranteed to be delivered in a fun, yet intensive team oriented atmosphere.

AAA Elite AAA Premier Academy

AAA ELITE
Prerequisite: Division 1 & 2

NSD’s AAA Elite Spring Hockey is a high level, intense training program made up of Elite players that have played Division 1 and 2 hockey during the 2011/2012 Minor Hockey Season (Novice – Bantam) from in and around the Calgary area. This program has been designed to provide the opportunity for players to develop with and also against the best players at their respective age levels. The focus of the program is on advancing individual skill development at a high level of play and integrating the skills acquired into organized team play that includes team systems and team strategies. Game experience is achieved through exhibition games and tournament play.

The vision of the NSD AAA Elite Spring team will be a strong, competitive team that is able to compete for championships in tournament play. The NSD Spring Program believes in developing a strong work ethic in team players so that all hockey players will strive for both individual and team goals. By challenging the hockey athlete, setting expectations and over coming adversity we are able to help your child build confidence, become better players and create their own successes

AAA PREMIER

ACADEMY

NSD’s Academy program is the opportunity for the Novice, Atom and PeeWee hockey player to maximize their potential in the sport of Ice Hockey in a FUN environment through a combination of game play and skill development. This program provides the hockey player with the opportunity to focus on hockey development while incorporating the element of game experience through 6 exhibition games. It is designed to focus on individual and team skill development, helping each player maximize their true playing potential. As in years past, NSD Spring Hockey offers something for everyone and focuses on developing minor hockey players' core skills and basic ABC’s of hockey, team tactics and understanding of the game of hockey in a fun, yet competitive team atmosphere. Players are able to develop their skills that they will  need during the coming winter season.
