Equipment Pilates
Under close supervision participants perform exercises on specialized equipment with spring-based resistance. The equipment guides the body into correct alignment, which mobilizes tight areas of the body and aids the use of weak muscles. Equipment Pilates is a key component of our sport rehabilitation, HPT:Pilates and Vitally-fit programs.

MAT Pilates
In small groups (or 1:1) participants are guided through an exercise sequence that is highly strengthening for the muscles of the core. Mat Pilates is a key component of our HPT:Pilates and Vitally-fit programs. Those in the rehabilitation program must speak with the instructor before joining a group mat class.

Pilates Training
With the ultimate goal of balancing and aligning the entire body, the system of more than 500 exercises uses mats and specialized equipment to move the body through its full range of motion with support from the deepest abdominal, pelvic and spinal muscles. Our Pilates programs train the mind, strengthen the core, increase joint mobility and boost athletic power.
High Performance Training
Scientific research with athletes has proven that strengthening the body's deepest core and stabilizing muscles increases athletic power. Our high performance Pilates program ensures that the strength of smaller muscles is maintained in balance with large muscles to create a more mobile and powerful body that is resilient to injury.
Specialized Rehabilitation
Specific repetitive actions and sustained positions required for sport and occupational activities are often the cause of muscular imbalances that weaken the body and create susceptibility to injury. Sport-specific Pilates rehabilitation targets underdeveloped muscles and balances forces around joints to reduce musculoskeletal strain, alleviate associated pain and build a body that is far more resilient to re-injury. The non-athlete will also benefit from our highly specific rehabilitation program.

At NSD we believe that even the novice or want-to-be athlete should benefit from the principles of high performance training. Our Vitally-Fit Pilates program utilizes athletic training principles to create a strong, balanced and well toned body that performs at its optimum.
